As we begin the semester, the health and safety of our students, faculty, staff and community continues to be our highest priority.
We’re making plans based upon the best and most recent guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control and local health officials—which includes physical distancing and other protective measures.
Health measures
4 W’s to Remember
Wear a mask | Watch distance | Wash hands | Wipe down surfaces |
You can find specific details on the health measures being taken on our campus and view recent announcements at the BJU Coronavirus Updates page.
Schedule
In response to health concerns related to the coronavirus, we will be adjusting our schedule to finish the semester prior to Thanksgiving. Below is an overview of the fall schedule:
- Aug. 14 — New students arrive and register
- Aug. 15 — Returning students arrive and register
- Aug. 17–18 — Evangelistic services
- Aug. 18 — Classes begin
- Nov. 24 — First semester final exams end
- Nov. 30–Dec 5 — Extended deadline for major student projects
The dates for our fall modules (Oct. 12-16) have not been affected by this change.
Regretfully, we have decided not to hold our 2020 Commencement in August. We believe that limiting the number of campus guests will help protect the campus community and help us have an on-campus, in-person fall. We would still love to celebrate with the class of 2020 at a future time.
