Who serves on the faculty and what is their expertise?

These men are not only pacesetters and innovators in their academic fields – many of them published authors – but also actively serving in local churches as pastors, teachers and counselors. And they bring into the classroom an average of 20 years of experience in ministries spanning church-planting and revitalization, evangelism and missions around the globe.

What about the cost? Can I achieve it financially?
We know that graduate school debt can be a crushing burden for those in or entering ministry – and can sometimes be a roadblock for acceptance into service. So just as we don’t compromise on content or quality of instruction, we’re making sure you don’t have to compromise when it comes to cost.
BJU Seminary’s per credit fee is among the lowest among leading evangelical seminaries — and the lowest for full-time Masters of Divinity students.
What financial support can I count on?
Our goal is to minimize cost of education as a barrier to entering Christian service, especially for pastors – many of whom have found financial struggles forcing them from the pulpit.
That’s why we have developed a range of scholarships across different areas of study and need. 95% of resident students who applied for scholarship funds in 2020-21 received them.
Graduate assistant part-time work programs and opportunities in the thriving Greenville business community are also available.
And low-cost housing is available on and near campus.

Does BJU Seminary provide the flexible approaches to learning I may need, including livestream, modules or certificates?
Our “no-compromise” approach extends beyond content, quality and cost to convenience.
A resident program provides the opportunity for rich interaction with faculty and fellow students. But we know that many seminarians today are pursuing a further degree while they pursue their existing ministries, and others must work their way through school. Lay leaders may be seeking specialized, certified training with the option to “stack” coursework toward a future full degree.

Where is BJU Seminary, and is it an attractive place to live?
Our hometown of Greenville, SC was recently named by Thrillist as “America’s Coolest New Weekend City.” The trend-spotting and-setting website gushed: “Greenville lures in visitors with an absolutely astonishing downtown, anchored by a 60-foot waterfall and expansive green space. What are the standards for admission?
BJU Seminary is academically rigorous, with high expectations for students to work hard and capitalize fully on the extraordinary opportunities for learning not just about theology and ministry, but also life.
But we also work to be supportive from your first connection with us to the day of graduation, and take into account a range of life experiences and qualities that we believe can contribute to students’ ability to be successful both here and in future service.
