Programs

Bachelor of Science in Biblical Counseling (BJU)

Earn your bachelor’s degree in biblical counseling from BJU, a regionally accredited liberal arts university. Committed to the Christ-centered ministry of God’s sufficient Word, BJU will prepare you to counsel others in a distinctively biblical fashion. An option is available for completing both your BS and MA degrees in biblical counseling in a total of four years.

Graduate Certificate in Biblical Counseling

You may not have the time or desire right now to earn the full master of arts, but you can still receive essential training in biblical counseling with our 18-credit graduate certificate. Be prepared for counseling ministry in your local church, on the mission field, at summer camps, in biblical counseling centers, classrooms, or Christian camps.

Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling

The MA in biblical counseling will equip you with robust theology and practice of counseling grounded in the doctrines of progressive sanctification and Scripture’s sufficiency. Required courses grant ACBC certification to those serving or wanting to serve on pastoral staff, biblical counseling centers, urban ministry settings, addiction ministries, and various social and children’s works.

Master of Divinity in Biblical Counseling

If you are already considering an MDiv, you could get one with a concentration in biblical counseling. The MDiv is our premier degree to equip you for your calling into virtually any field of church ministry. This carefully balanced program is designed to cultivate a mastery of biblical content, theology, hermeneutics, church history, and ministry skills — plus a solid foundation in the biblical languages.

Doctor of Ministry in Biblical Counseling

Especially designed for those who have already been serving in the ministry with an MDiv or its equivalent, the DMin with a concentration in biblical counseling will give you advanced training to meet counseling needs in your ministry.
