Teaching Bible, Graduate Certificate

Refining the Skills of Spiritual Influencers

A Graduate Certificate in Teaching Bible provides continuing education for those who influence the church by teaching the Bible to teens and adults in camps, churches, schools, and home Bible studies. The courses are taught by skillful teachers who are also experienced pastors, Sunday school teachers, and Seminary professors. This program will enhance your ability to communicate an accurate, compelling vision of biblical truth and to apply the Scriptures to modern circumstances.

Experienced Christian leaders are always in high demand. Because you take your leadership roles seriously, you are driven to teach a compelling vision of God’s work in this world. You know the difficulty of applying Scripture to some questions of the twenty-first century, yet you want to guide others with increasing wisdom and effectiveness. This Graduate Certificate in Teaching Bible may be well suited for you. The program is available in distance and residential formats, and students can advance seamlessly to many Master’s degree or the Master of Divinity degree upon completion of the certificate. Students need only have a bachelor’s degree with a 2.0 GPA to enroll in a graduate certificate program at BJU Seminary.

Residential, module, and evening flex classes are often live-streamed, making it possible for students to interact live with a classroom from virtually anywhere in the world. Because of these multiple class options, it is possible to earn this entire certification without living in the Greenville area.

Online courses allow the convenience of working in an asynchronous program, meaning that students do not typically meet at prescribed times; rather, most tasks take place on a week-by-week basis over the seven-week period. Because of these multiple class options, it is possible to earn this entire certification without living in the Greenville area.

Module weeks are offered during the fall and spring semesters and sometimes during the summer. Each module contains one week in residency, preceded and followed by six-weeks of distance course work. The one week in residency is often offered through live-stream as well. Because of these multiple class options, it is possible to earn this entire certification without living in the Greenville area.

Students with day jobs can take classes on Monday or Thursday evening. Five credits of class can be possible on both Monday and Thursday evenings, with two-credit classes meeting for one hour and three-credit classes meeting for two hours. Additionally, many of these classes are live-streamed. Because of these multiple class options, it is possible to earn this entire certification without living in the Greenville area.
