Culture, History, Theology

There is much that we can learn from the theologians of the past. On today’s episode of Theologically Speaking, we focus in on Herman Bavink. Herman Bavinck was a Dutch theologian in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. Bavinck was born on December 13, 1854, in the town of Hoogeveen in the Netherlands to a German father, Jan Bavinck (1826–1909), who was the minister of theologically conservative, Christian Reformed Church. He grew up no stranger to the ministry. He also was not a stranger to wrestling with the many different political and social topics that came up in his day.
